The 'Pattaya Pattaya' Song

How many of our readers know the Pattaya Pattaya song---the "national anthem" of Pattaya and favourite party song? Do you actually know who wrote the song and sings it, or the history of it? Okay, most people probably don't, so we've done a bit of Internet research and, finally, here's some stuff we're sure you always wanted to know ...

Pattaya Pattaya was originally written by a Farang called Lou Deprijck, a Belgian singer and music producer who, according to Wikipedia, was a "major figure in the Belgian pop scene of the 1970s and 1980s, with more than 20 million copies of his compositions sold worldwide." Deprijck found huge mainstream success with his band Two Man Sound that "sold over a million copies of their 1975 single Charlie Brown while the album Disco Samba had sales of around 1.4 million copies in Latin America." His internationally best known hit is probably Ça plane pour moi which he recorded and sang for Plastic Bertrand in 1977.

In order to import a dog or cat into Thailand there are a certain number of restrictions that you should be aware of. You will need to have a health certificate that has been issued by a certified veterinary surgeon in your home country.
